Executive Director
Position Summary
The Executive Director is a part-time, position responsible for setting the strategic vision and driving excellence in Leadership Collierville’s programs. This role acts as the primary liaison between the Board of Trustees, alumni, class participants, and the Collierville community. The Executive Director facilitates the annual leadership class, manages all organizational operations, and ensures the mission of strengthening local leadership is met through modern communication and engagement strategies.
Responsibilities
Board Governance and Financial Oversight
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Trustees and report directly to the Board.
- Prepare monthly Board meeting agendas and facilitate arrangements (location, virtual connectivity, etc.)
- Coordinate with the Treasurer to oversee the annual budget and maintain accurate financial records.
- Lead and support fundraising initiatives, including grant research and cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors.
- Maintain and strengthen communications with Leadership Collierville Alumni.
- Execute other responsibilities as assigned by the Board.
Digital Strategy and Public Representation
- Official Spokesperson: Represent the organization at public functions and serve as the primary contact for media and community inquiries.
- Website and Social Media: Oversee and maintain the organization’s website and social media platforms to ensure consistent branding and engagement.
- Digital Communication: Manage the publication of monthly digital newsletters and utilize email marketing tools for alumni dues and program updates.
- Marketing: Coordinate all promotional materials, including digital press releases and community recruitment assets.
Program Leadership & Administration
- Program Development: Responsible for the full development, planning, and execution of all program days and curricula.
- Class Facilitation: Organize and facilitate the annual class retreat and graduation, fostering interaction between participants and the Board.
- Selection Process: Manage the annual recruitment and selection process, including tracking applicants and identifying target areas for growth.
- Record Keeping: Maintain a current, digitized alumni directory and a volunteer listing for class participants.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience; graduation from Leadership Collierville preferred.
- Strategic Leadership: Self-motivated and goal-driven with a commitment to social responsibility and community growth.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Technology Proficiency: Working knowledge of website management, social media platforms, CRM/Alumni databases, and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours and support full program days.
- Legal: Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
Work Schedule & Terms
- Hours: Part-time (Average 20 – 30 hours/week).
- Flexibility: Flexible weekly schedule with the requirement to attend all monthly program days and board meetings.
- Compensation: Starting at $30,000.
